Shipping & Payment
How can I pay for
my purchase?
Once we
supply you with the shipping cost via phone or email, payment can be
made through PayPal (credit/debit), or by cashier’s check/money order.
Personal checks are accepted from U.S. residents, however shipment will
be delayed until the check has cleared (7-10 days). Items must be paid
for within
5 business days of the order or the item returns for sale...more
What shipping
methods do you use?
All
artwork, bones and teeth are insured and shipped out of either our
Virginia prep lab, or our new facility in Chicago (PP& A. FOB Origin).
For art, smaller bones and teeth, and mid-sized specimens with thin
processes or long, fragile sections, we primarily use USPS Priority
Mail. Larger, heavier bones are shipped using various land/sea freight
companies. We carefully package and insure all items for shipping, and
can provide tracking information. In most cases, rush delivery is
available upon request. All international customers are responsible for
paying any duties/taxes required by their country.
How are shipping costs figured?
We determine shipping costs and applicable sales tax at the time of
sale because items will ship directly from either the prep lab or the
artist, causing shipping cots, taxes and delivery times to vary.
Commissioned works will have all shipping and handling costs and taxes
provided in the commission contract.
What is your
return policy?
You may
also return any item for full refund (less shipping) as long as it is
returned within 10 business days. Please contact us by phone or email if
you are making a return. The item must be returned in its original,
undamaged condition, including the receipt, and in the original
packaging.
What if I receive
merchandise that was damaged in shipping?
We have
a passion for our work and care deeply about the significance of the
artwork and dinosaur specimens we ship to you. Contact us within 24
hours upon receipt of any damaged goods, as all items are considered
“yours” upon the date of receipt. When a clean break occurs, a bone can
be easily repaired by the owner, and we can walk you through that
process by phone. Replacement mirrors/glass are also available for
artwork that arrives damaged. Please retain all packing materials and
documentation, as it is needed for the damage claim we will file.
Are you resellers?
The
Jurassic bones and teeth we sell go from the dig site to the prep lab to
you. You are the first owner of these items…since the original owner
145,000,000+ years ago. All artwork, reproduction artifacts, and jewelry
items are original and one-of-a-kind unless otherwise indicated.
Dinosaurs
Are other fossils
available besides the items on this website?
It is
not uncommon for other bones and teeth to be available in any given time
period. Please
e-mail
us if you have any questions.
Can anyone dig up
dinosaurs?
It is
illegal to excavate vertebrate remains on federal land & state parks
unless you are affiliated with an accredited museum or institution where
public study is available. Our bones come from private land where we
operate under a fossil rights agreement with the landowner.
What is a
certificate of authenticity?
Each
bone or tooth specimen is shipping with documentation that states the
date and location of the fossil discovery, and verifies that its origin
is from legal, privately-owned land.
How can I display
my specimen?
Feel
free to contact us for ideas. We are constantly checking out
artisans and craftsmen that create novel stands and housings for both
bones and teeth.
Artwork
Can the artwork be
displayed outdoors?
No,
unless otherwise indicated all artwork has been designed and produced
for indoor display only, or damage from the elements could occur.
Do you do
commissioned artwork?
Yes,
please contact us and we’ll discuss what you have in mind.
Do you ever accept
the work of other artists for consignment sales?
Yes. We
happily review the original work of other artists for this possibility.
The theme of Paleo Gallery
