This dinosaur toe bone is from the Jurassic Period predator, Allosaurus. It was discovered and excavated on a private ranch dig site in Utah, where mineralization over time has caused some redness in color.

Like most bones found in this area, this very nice toe bone was coated in an extremely hard, pebbly matrix. All of the matrix has been removed, and it is in excellent condition. There has been no reconstruction. Contact us for hi-res JPG images.
